Frequently asked questions

What is a vCISO?

A virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) is an executive level cyber security professional that provides the same strategic security leadership as a CISO - but does so remotely and on-demand.

Hiring a vCISO avoids the long-term commitment, cost and overhead of recruiting and retaining a permanent executive. Typical CISO salary in Australia is 200K+.

When should I hire a vCISO?

You should think about hiring a vCISO in the following scenarios:

  • Small or mid-size company without a full time security leader. Need the expertise but without the 224K+ salary & super overhead.

  • Preparing for a compliance audit (e.g. ISO 27001).

  • Recently experienced a security incident or want to avoid one.

  • Customers, Investors and/or Insurance providers are asking about and requiring certain levels of security controls.

  • Your current IT staff are stretched and/or need help to bridge knowledge gaps.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Absolutely. Once you cancel your subscription, you won’t receive an invoice for the start of the next month of services.

At the time of cancellation however, the remaining proportion of the already paid monthly subscription fee will not be refundable.
